A clump-forming perennial with narrow leaves and large clusters of fragrant, violet flowers from midsummer to autumn. Very striking when mass-planted in your garden to create a colourful display. The leaves are edible and can be used as substitute for garlic and chives in cooking. It can be used as an edging plant, along a pathway and displayed in a rockery.
