Neat compactly clustered foliage on arched fonds resembling a cat's tail. Looks great when planted in groups under trees. A hardy, evergreen, perennial. Tiny white, fragrant flowers in summer, followed by showy red berries from March that are attractive to birds. Easy to grow and indigenous. Can be grown as an indoor plant. It tolerates plenty of water but can handle drying out now and then.
