A vigorous vine-like climber valued for its edible granadilla fruit in summer. Clings by its tendrils to almost any support. First fruits should be ready for harvesting 6-9 months after planting. After its second year it should bear fruit twice a year. Peak fruit season being August to November and February to June. Requires plenty of water in its growing period. Can be grown indoors if positioned in a very light spot.
